Sunday 2nd March 2025 - Transfiguration Sunday

St Mark's Dalby

Together Sharing Christ’s Love

 Welcome to:

Redeemer, Macalister

St Mark’s, Dalby

Liturgical Colour: White

Transfiguration Sunday:  The transfiguration is one of the strangest events in the Gospels.  Jesus was changed so that he shone as bright as the sun, and a voice spoke from heaven!  The purpose of the transfiguration of Christ into at least a part of His heavenly glory was so that the “inner circle” of His disciples could gain a greater understanding of who Jesus was.  That gave them the reassurance they needed after hearing the shocking news of His coming death.  It was something they never forgot, leading John later to write: “We have seen His glory, the glory of the one and only”  (John 1:14)
