LCA Missionary Time-Line:

This timeline is a thank you and acknowledgement to the people from Lutheran Churches in Australia who served in mission overseas. The countless stories tell of the joys of serving and the many blessings our overseas brothers and sisters gave to us. The timeline is a work in progress. Contact LCA International Mission if you would like to contribute.

Young Adults home group:

Who: young adults aged 17 (finished high school) -30ish

What: dinner, discipleship, fellowship

When: Every Tuesday night @6:30pm

Where: various locations across Dalby

Why: "To provide a safe and Godly community giving the chance to provide authentic fellowship and deep conversations, with the bonus of food"

Acts 2:42 [NIV] - They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.

We would love it if our hosts could commit to hosting us approximately once every month/two months. This involves having us to their house and making dinner for the group. The use of a tv is bonus 👍🏻 We will organise our own study, and they are welcome to join in if they like- we always appreciate the wisdom our older congregation members have to offer. Special thanks to those who have already graciously hosted us: Megan James, Kaylene & Murray, Barb & Keith, Des & Val, Jamie & Mezzie. We really appreciate it! Thank you!! If you wish to host the Young Adult group, please contact Nadine!

C.H.A.O.S:

With C.H.A.O.S youth ministry booming this last term, we are looking for people to join the ‘Youth Support Team’ (Y.S.T.) that will come to a youth night once a Term (possibly one or two adults per night). To be an extra adult leader, you will need a blue card; if not, please see the blue card website for more information www.bluecard.qld.gov.au. You have the opportunity to support and care for our leaders who connect and lead these young people while giving up their time and energy to plan these events. Sharing your experience, knowledge, advice, and support with mainly our leaders but also with the kids. Would you please talk with or email Aimee Johnson if you have any questions or need more information? Phone: 0409 906 567 Email aimee.johnson@lca.org.au

LCA Story of the Week:

After 20 years without a confirmation service, members of St John’s Buccleuch in SA shared the joy as seven youth were confirmed this year. Theirs was not only St John’s first confirmation class for many years but also its first online class, with students attending from locations including a truck parked on a hill to receive a signal.
