LCA Story of the Week:

The installation of a public drinking fountain in front of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Traralgon, Victoria, was proposed by the congregation as a community service and became a reality late last year.

Regional Arts Council Dalby presents:

LYQ Winter Camps:

Winter Kids Camp is a beautiful mix of learning about God, spending time outdoors and enjoying games with friends …. lots of good clean fun and laughter! Every morning we’ll spend time in worship and learning about God and then in the afternoons we’ll take advantage of the wide-open spaces at camp to play some epic games!

Dates: 27 June – 1 July 2022

Location: Luther Heights Youth Camp, Coolum

Price: $365 for the first 30 campers, $405 standard pricing. Registrations are now open!


CLW:

CLW (Christian Life Week) is a five-day camp for high school aged campers that is centred on an unforgettable experience of faith, fun and friendship. This winter we’re offering 4 CLW camps, two in the first week and two in the second week of the school holidays. CLW is a life-changing week filled with daily worship and study time, epic wide games and life-long friends, led by an inspirational bunch of Christian leaders.

Dates: WEEK 1 - 27 June – 1 July 2022 – WEEK 2 – 4 – 8 July

· For those in authority, such as Queen Elizabeth and her representatives; Prime Minister Scott Morrison and members of parliament; Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk and state parliamentarians; and Mayor Paul McVeigh and local councillors;

· For the Church, LCAQD; that the church would see Christ where he is present

· For the pastors Bishop Paul smith, District Bishop Mark Vainikka; Pastor Joel Pukallus and all pastors; that the church may show Christ to all who have no faith

· For all who face temptations or trials that seem too great for them

· For those who have undertaken fasting or opportunities for extra service during Lent, that they may be strengthened

· For young Christians, that they may be strengthened against the temptation of unbelief

· For those preparing for baptism or confirmation at Easter

· For all who believe, that they may not be put to shame

· For those who are hungry or homeless, that they may not be tempted to despair

· For those who are in positions of leadership, that they may resist all temptations to abuse their power
