Junior Springboard Holiday Camp:

Luther Heights Youth Camp, Coolum Beach. Wed 22 Sept – Fri 24 Sept 2021. Grades 3-6. Cost - $265 (early bird), $295 (standard).


National Church Life Survey:

The NCLS is due to be held in churches during October and November. The 2021 NCLS will have paper survey forms, and also online forms which people can fill out on their device (including at home).


Nominations for 2022:

The Nominations Committee has begun preparation for the 2021 Budget and Election Meeting to be held later this year. Please take a survey form from the Narthex and with prayerful consideration, complete the form and return it to the Office during September. Indicate with a ‘Yes’ roles or positions you are willing to be involved with during 2022. Indicate with a ‘No’ if you have been involved in this role or position but no longer wish to continue. Use the column available to add any questions or comments.

Please also complete the survey for the Monthly and Weekly Rosters.

OCC Christmas Shoeboxes:

Christmas Shoeboxes and brochures are now available from the narthex.

OCC has a new State Manager Robert Henry and we have been notified that all the boxes will go through to Sydney again this year. The closing date for collection will be 17th October.


LCA Story of the Week:

Every LCANZ congregation is being encouraged to recognise and give thanks for the Christian care provided by congregational ministries, individuals, and Lutheran aged-care and community services. A suite of resources to support a Sunday celebration of care was launched recently and is available for free to download from the LCA website at www.lca.org.au/ccs

· For those in authority, such as Queen Elizabeth and her representatives; Prime Minister Scott Morrison and members of parliament; Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk and state parliamentarians; and Mayor Paul McVeigh and local councillors; that they may act wisely.

· For the Church, LCAQD; that the true gospel is proclaimed and not denied because of personal opinion

· For the pastors Bishop John Henderson, District Bishop Mark Vainikka; Pastor Joel Pukallus and all pastors; and all church workers who are deaf, blind, or handicapped in some way

· For all instruction in the gospel (Sunday school, confirmation, adult instruction, Bible study, preaching, etc)

· For all schools, including Lutheran schools

· For all principals, teachers, support staff, and administration staff

· For all students as they contemplate their final term and exams

· For children from third-world countries who don't have access to education
