FOR YOUR INFORMATION:

The Chairman asks we all assist in ensuring after use of our Buildings are locked, lights are turned off where applicable and water at basins, sinks etc is turned off. This has come about after the water was found running in the Hall toilet basin on Wednesday night after an undetermined amount of time. As issues are noticed please advise Gayle at the Office or contact the Chairman.

Stamps for Mission:

Start collecting your stamps - Sale of used postage stamps raises thousands of dollars to support God's mission in the world. Stamps can be left at the church office.

Delicious and Delightful:

As a part of our continuing support for our wider community, our church is running the Children’s Activity Tent at our annual ‘Delicious and Delightful’ festival to be held on Saturday 27 August.

As we haven’t had our usual Holiday Fun Time, we are hoping we could put our talents and resources into this event. We are looking for volunteers to:

· Help to set up Friday afternoon (26th)

· Help decorate the tent Saturday morning 9am

· Help prepare craft activities

· Help with craft activities and simple games on the day

· Sell tickets for jumping castle and other ticketed activities

Our tent will be running from 12 midday through to approximately 6pm. We will have a roster set up so even if you have one hour to spare, it will be greatly appreciated.

It is thought that we could either wear our blue St Mark’s shirts or our HFT blue shirts (with something underneath them for winter!)

Anyone interested in helping, please see Lois Strand or Cameron Brauer.

OCC Christmas Shoeboxes:

Christmas Shoeboxes and brochures are now available from the narthex. We have been advised that all the boxes will go through to Sydney this year for final packing. The closing date for collection will be 9th October.

Parish News:

· Pastor Stuart Kleinig has accepted the call to CMA as Interim Pastor, with the installation at Trinity Chinchilla on October 23

· Pr Joel has been enjoying meeting CMA members in his once a month trip during the vacancy.

· Climbing fuel prices are a concern with the long kms Pr Ken undertakes in the diaspora ministry

· Treasurer Lois Strand thanks the congregations for the steady flow of contributions.

· Parish Council continues to grind their way through actioning the many motions passed at the May 1 AGM

· The annual Chairman & Treasurers meeting will be at Miles on 21st August, 2pm
