LWQ Darling Downs Rally:

Child Safety Standards for Congregations Webinar:
Saturday March 26,2022 1.30pm AEDT 12:30pm (Qld time)
This webinar will provide an overview of the LCA Child Safety Standards for Congregations with an emphasis on the child safety responsibilities for LCA congregations.
The webinar will run for approx. 90 minutes from 1.30pm AEDT 12:30pm (Qld)
It will include a focus on guidelines for completing the Child Safety Self-Assessment and the Child Safety Plan, as well as tips for implementing the Child Safety Plan by local Church Councils.
Pastors, Committee Members (Pastoral Assistants, Administration, TEAM), Safe Church Coordinators, and Congregation Members who have significant involvement with children and youth (Kid Zone Leaders and Helpers, Youth Leaders), are strongly encouraged to participate.
Each session will include questions and answer opportunities.
The webinar will be presented jointly by the LCA Child Protection Project Officer, Mary-Ann Carver, and Professional Standards Officers from each of the districts.

LYQ Winter Camps:
Winter Kids Camp is a beautiful mix of learning about God, spending time outdoors and enjoying games with friends …. lots of good clean fun and laughter! Every morning we’ll spend time in worship and learning about God and then in the afternoons we’ll take advantage of the wide-open spaces at camp to play some epic games!
Dates: 27 June – 1 July 2022
Location: Luther Heights Youth Camp, Coolum
Price: $365 for the first 30 campers, $405 standard pricing. Registrations are now open!
CLW:
CLW (Christian Life Week) is a five-day camp for high school aged campers that is centred on an unforgettable experience of faith, fun and friendship. This winter we’re offering 4 CLW camps, two in the first week and two in the second week of the school holidays. CLW is a life-changing week filled with daily worship and study time, epic wide games and life-long friends, led by an inspirational bunch of Christian leaders.
Dates: WEEK 1 - 27 June – 1 July 2022 – WEEK 2 – 4 – 8 July

Prayers for the Week:
· For those in authority, such as Queen Elizabeth and her representatives; Prime Minister Scott Morrison and members of parliament; Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk and state parliamentarians; and Mayor Paul McVeigh and local councillors; for the nations of the world, that they may receive the blessing of peace
· For the Church, LCAQD; for those who preach and teach the gospel
· For the pastors Bishop Paul smith, District Bishop Mark Vainikka; Pastor Joel Pukallus and all pastors;
· For all catechumens and those who inquire into the Christian faith (eg for members of the pastor's class, Alpha, confirmation groups or baptism classes)
· For the enemies of the church, who kill God's prophets and those who are sent to them with the gospel, that they would be willing to receive God's love and forgiveness
· For the Jewish people, that they may look to Christ as their messiah
· For all couples who remain childless despite their prayers and hopes, that God would hear their prayers and grant them this blessing
· That there may be peace between people of all nations and religions
